Yoga on the Deck - our Team

Tanja is the owner and one of the teachers here at Yoga on the Deck. She has been teaching since 2005 and over the years studied Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Therapy. Tanja is passionate about making yoga accessible for every body and age and her aim is to make everyone feel comfortable in where they are at in their practice, and teach her students the true connection of body, mind and breath.

She teaches Beginners Courses, Hatha classes, Private Yoga, various workshops and Day Retreats. Aside from yoga she's passionate about food (especially her veggie garden, her 3 cats and the ocean.

Thais completed her Level 1 & 2 training in Byron Bay in 2008, although ever since her first class as a student in 2002 she knew that this was meant to be her path. She remains an avid student, exploring different styles and incorporating some of those into her classes. Her mission is to share her love of yoga and empower students to take control of their own physical , mental, emotional and spiritual health and healing.

Dianne's passion for yoga began after the birth of her second child over 24 years ago. As a working mum of 2 boys life was very hectic and Di often felt anxious. Yoga and Meditation became the turning point to a much calmer and connected way of life.
This is what lead Di to study and become a teacher ,so she could share this knowledge with others. 

Di has qualifications in Hatha,Yin and Restorative Yoga .
She is passionate in guiding her students in understanding and feeling the mind -body connection.
Her other passions are being in nature, especially by the Ocean.

Jacqui is passionate about sharing Open Sky Qigong with everyone because she believes in the power and healing that these simple practices bring. Jacqui has been practicing Open Sky Qigong for 9 years and has been sharing these wonderful classes for 8 years. Qigong classes are open to everyone and with ongoing practice we experience more Love, Joy and Peace in everyday life. Qigong is the art of Happiness!!
